I have used Retin-A for years and it is great. It has also kept my skin smooth over the years. In the long run it is very cost effective. A tube is expensive, but one tube lasts and lasts for months. There is also a generic that works just as well. It is sold by prescription.
I would highly recommend visiting a dermatologist. Check around for fees. An initial visit may be costly, but the products that the doctor prescribes will often be very cheap and save you money in the long run.
Another product that will clear up acne and make your skin beautiful is Acne-Statin. It is sold over the internet. Just type it into your search engine to find information on how to buy. It says to allow 2 weeks for delivery but it actually only takes a day or two. Good luck!

get 'clean and clear blackhead clearing scrub'. I struggles with acne for 7 years and it cleared up when I started using this.
