Get a man to answer your phone next time he calls, that'll throw him off big time. The person has to sound really serious like he's your new boyfriend and he doesn't want him calling you anymore because if your guy is laughing or you're coaching him in the background on what to say, your ex will just think your childish and keep calling. Restraining Orders don't really work these days, they're just a piece of paper, unless it gets really out of hand then I suggest getting one. Even changing your number sometimes doesn't work, you have to make sure that everyone is clear on not to give it out and sometimes I've heard of phone companies even giving a person's new number out to an ex and that has caused big problems, just because the ex knew all of the person's information, the phone company thought it was safe to do so.

Sadly, exs like this are abusers, and do not know the meaning of restraint or restraining orders. Yes, you can document all the calls, use caller id and also a digital answering machine -- do NOT answer the phone when the caller id shows his number! I document all the day/time groupings for my ex's harassing phone calls, and I have included that in my own restraining orders. If the calls are threatening or begging or manipulative -- have the recordings put on tape. That can also be used as evidence for supporting the restraining orders requested in court.

It's all a matter of time before he gets the message you're not interested any more. You could change your number or call ID him. Otherwise if he phones don't speak to him just end the call and that way he has no satisfaction of any contact with you at all.
Also be aware that he knows where you are likely to go so change your routine if you can, take different routes so that you're no longer predictable.

Call the police and ask them what to do. You can also change your phone number, move with a new number. Change your job, Change your job, find a new place to live, and a new phone number. You need to ask your self how bad do I want him to leave you alone. Better yet tell him your going to set him up with a friend. black mail him, if he doesn't leave you alone. Get a policemen for a boyfriend. "There are fifty ways to leave your lover". Just drop off the key lee, make a new plan Stan. listen to the song, and set your self free.

You can have a block put on your phone and he would have to know the code just to get the phone to ring or as others have suggested; you can get a private number. If problems still persist; then go and get a restraining order and that way he is not to call or come in contact with you.

Tell him the only way you will consider getting back with him is if he leaves you alone, gives you some space & stops calling you.Take so long considering & hope in the meantime he finds someone else!

Tell him why you do not want to get back with him, because if you keep saying "No", he may not give up. If he still does call you back, call your Phone Service, Like if you use Verizon, call them and ask them to block that number.

Lend your phone to a bloke for a few days and tell hin to say he's bought your phone. If that doesn't work set the coppers on him.

if you have caller ID, and almost everyone does, just don't answer the phone when he calls. Unless he's totally pathetic, he'll eventually get the message. Best of luck.
