I liked the first one better because it was a total surprise - funny, exciting and an easy ride. Because of that, I expected more from the second one, and although there were great effects it just didn't measure up to my expectations. I did like it enough to go see the next one - Depp is becoming more flambouyant with each one.

I thought visually it was pretty amazing, but the script was a total mess and the story made NO SENSE.... i didn't care for the sea creature guys that was just silly

OMG!!! I loved that movie. I just hated the ending! I'm a huge Johnny Depp fan. OMG I can't wait til the next one.

I agree, the sea creature guy was dumb. And the woman. But for visual's it was good, and fun. But I think the first was better?
