I'll definately fine out more about my high school class in September when we have our 25th reunion. However, I've heard some have done better than others. And I know of 3 classmates who are now deceased, 2 of which were sisters - one from natural causes the other committed suicide. Then there's the one classmate who was murdered in her home, on her birthday and her murder is still unsolved. I'm hoping that everyone will remember these 3 individuals at our reunion, and the unsolved/cold case murder is resolved.

the popular people that were rapt in student govt and athletics burned out after graduation, the class president is a waitress at TGI Fridays and has a nasty little coke problem, which she has managed to carry on since school. The other student council kids seemed to either a) dropped out of college to follow a boyfriend to another state and then get dumped; b) had 3 children and work all day in their homes or c) wound up in jail for drug charges. Talk about success.

The four unpopular kids I knew seem to have gone on to success as lawyer, dentist, doctor and psychololgist.

I wonder how many of them will be at the reunion?

Most of the popular ones went on to become drunks, druggies, and factory workers. Some of them had kids before leaving school, so they were screwed financially before ever getting a start at working full-time. The unpopular ones went somewhere, I'm sure, it's just that I never paid them much attention so I don't know where they are now.
One popular guy got his brains blown out on his birthday by his best friend who was playing with a gun they were passing around.
A popular girl who was by far one of the prettiest girls in school bummed a ride across town from me one day, turns out she has a major addiction to crack and meth now. She even offered to suck me off for the ride, but her beauty was long gone. She looked like she'd been hit by a train, literally.
They seemed so cocky and arrogant back then, but look at them now. Life, or karma, seems to have turned the tables on them.

I think from my class it was a mixed bag.
Some of the popular "nerds" went on to be successful. Finished college, went into the military, owned their own businesses, etc.

Some of the popular jocks I knew didn't do so well. The center from my basketball team went to jail for selling guns to a gang. A couple of us from the team finished college and are doing well, but the others not so much. Some are working in places where you don't need a college education. I saw a popular guy who played 4 sports at a Tucson airport once. He was wearing gold chains and was kinda pimped out. But it didn't look like he was truly successful, rather he was trying give the impression of success. The girl with him looked a little underaged, too. Small hands.

The super computer geeks are doing *really* well, career wise.
A lot of people from all cliques are married with children.

When I went to my first high school graduation, I noted that while two or three of the popular kids had gone on to good things, the majority were kind of stuck in a time warp--they looked and acted the same as they had in high school.

The biggest nerd had become a successful and incredibly handsome psychiatrist. The smartest girl in the whole class had become a professional bowler (and married the guidance counselor).

One of the most popular girls in my high school ended up marrying one of the "unpopular" guys and now she is a heavy set woman , and works at Walmart... this is hilarious, because when I went to school with her she told me I could not hang out with the "popular" kids because I didn't have enough cool clothes... and now she works at Walmart... what goes around, comes around....

I've got no earthly idea. I went to a very large big-city high school and am in touch with only one person I knew back then. He turned out fine - retired at 46 (I beat him by a year!) and has a wonderful family. I'd say our popularity was average out of the 4,000+ kids with which we went to school.

In my High School.....The Nerds..(unpopular) went on to getting the best jobs, homes, etc...some went on to being millionaires...The "In" people of the time got into drugs, bad crowds and most ended up dying young.......I would guess that the same percentage of each group was drafted into the Military and died in the "Viet Nam War".....

The popular people at my school got drunk the week before graduation and spray painted their names all over the school. About 15 - 20 in all started their lives on probation! Lol. Idiots!

its funny..really this girl used to tease me and my best friend for being "fat" we werent..just a little bigger than ur average cheerleader..so i saw the girl that used to make me cry at the mall were now 21 and she was over 300 pounds she told me and she religiously apologized for making fun of me and felt bad for it cuz now ppl insult her like crazy. i see the popular kids sometimes and they are all just average..i was sort of unpopular cuz i was shy and some ppl are now jealous of me cuz im happily married and im young and i never let high school bring me down.
