A tattoo parlour. Take an apprenticeship and they will teach you everything you need to know (if it's a good shop and not some trashy back-alley place).

You won't get very far by simply trying it out on yourself or others (permanent or otherwise). Only by being an apprentice to a proffesional can you learn the correct techniques and how to work safely and cleanly. It's a lot more complicated than just drawing and colouring in.

bereftcat: Becoming a tattoo artist does not mean becoming a failure. Only a very few people with tat's are the "wrong crowd" that you speak of. Many tattoo artists are highly respected, highly paid individuals. Being a highly respected member of a community is not failure.

I doubt you'll get a healthcare job with stretched ears. I don't remember if its 0 or 00 that won't close up. If you have longer hair that covers your ears, it won't be as hard. And the sleeves will be a little more difficult with some because a lot of jobs have uniforms that are short sleeve unless its winter and unless you're in some place cold, I doubt you'll want to be wearing a jacket 24/7

Start off airbrush tattooing. My sister just started this. It'll give you the hang of it & it'll only last a week, so if you screw up, no biggie. Once you get the hang of it, go find an apprenticeship at a local tattoo parlor & watch EVERYTHING they do.

"Practice x3!" Best of luck.

Tattoos are only Regets. Don't choose a path of failure to start you young life. Unless, you are enamoured by a culture of losers & failures. Believe me, I have those regrets from poor decision making.

On your thigh so no-one can see!

PS I assume you're not using your real name. Not a good idea out here.

Take care.
