I prefer Lucky Brand or Trailer. Both run from about $70-140/pair, but they're super comfortable. I don't necessarily think it's the brand that matters--just what fits you. I heard once that you should buy whatever pants fit your worst area (like if you have big hips or something) and then get the pants tailored so it looks good all over.

Old Navy jeans. I'm 5'1", and thin. Their brand fits me better than the rest and they're comfortable.

whatever fits!
It took me a year of looking to finally find jeans that fit me right! (and i really was looking, every store in my town, multiple times)
Gap jeans came to my rescue. It sucsk for me cuz they are really expensive. I prefer to spend about $20.
I one time found levi's that fit perfectly too. That was like 3 years ago.
