At four months I did not feel my baby move.. now I am 6 months and she moves alllllll the time. It's quite normal to worry. If you are really concerned, let your doctor know. They will check you with a doppler to listen for the heartbeat. If its there, your baby is fine. If they dont hear a heart beat, they will give you an emergency ultrasound to check.
At four months, you baby will not be stillborn. You have to cross 22 weeks in order for it to be stillborn. You will simply have a late term miscarriage. Nothing can be done to stop it or prevent it. I have heard that women whose babys died in utero have a very heavy feeling in their uterus. The baby would come out within two weeks if it died.... or you would atleast start bleeding. If you don't see bleeding, don't worry. Stress is no good for a baby. Good luck.

Sweetie, if your baby has not moved in the last 6 - 12 hrs do not wait for your next appointment Call your doctor RIGHT NOW! BEFORE YOU READ ANYMORE!
You say you are 4 months pregnant, have you been feeling movement from your baby regularly? If so do what I said NOW.
However, I you are still feeling just the occasional flutter then relax, take a deep breath and relax. All mothers are terrified a some time or other that their baby will die or something will be wrong with it. If you are really concerned though, go right ahead and call your doctor. That's what he's being paid for.
Best wishes sweets!

No. Only a doctor can tell by hearing the heartbeat & fetal movements. If you're wondering about you being able to feel movement, I didin't feel any until I was about 7 mos pregnant. Then she really started to move a lot and all the time. Each pregnancy is different. Only a doctor would be able to address your concern. Make an appointment to talk to your OB. They should see you even if you're not scheduled for a regular appt. If they won't see you, find another OB.

Why can you feel this? Did the baby suddenly stop moving? My 2nd baby moved all the time for about a five day period then he would stop and be very still for about two days. It freaked me out the first couple of times. The doctor had him checked. He was fine. He was born ADHD. I could tell immediately he wasn't like other children. When he cried, the hairs on the back of my neck would rise. I have three children and he is the only one like this. He is now 17 and hasn't changed a lot since he was invitro.

It depends how far along you are in your pregnancy. If you have been feeling the baby's movement then it's a good sign. If your baby hasn't moved in a while, I would check with a dr. on call at your local hospital. Just for your peace of mind.

You cant tell but your doctor will be able to. This is a common fear among women so calm down. If this is your first baby, you probably wont feel movement yet anyway or not recognize it most of the time.

You should be seeing the Dr regularly. If you haven't seen the Dr yet you NEED TO. If you have a still born baby your body would have complications and abort/miscarry it.
