Why not ask if I can do your homework for you, do your work for you, make friends for you, or decide what interests you will have for life.
Boredom is not a naturally occuring phenomena in life. One has to really try hard to avoid listening, looking and thinking about all the great opportunities each of us has. Boredom is a symptom of a life in the process of closing down and withdrawing from opportunity. As an example, boredom is what is left after someone looks for an escape and bumps into Mr. or Ms. Feelgood, ready to "cure" ones boredom with a drug, a drink or a roll in the hay. If one is a teenager, addictions occur before they have the emotional development to deal with it. If the above three experiences grab anyone in the stages of emotional development, i.e. ANY teenager and MOST 20 somethings, the road to recovery is paved with landmines of rejection, loss and hopelessness and that leads to depression and a sense of boredom.
If, on the other hand, you are a spoiled brat whose parents and others have always "cured" your instant problems, you are wasting your life. Go volunteer at your local animal shelter and cure the animals' boredom. Otherwise, go back to your room and shut the door and stop wasting our time. Cheers.
