i like the first trilogy, its about a group of friends and u follow these set characters more like an adventure - i like the last film return of jedi best bcos it introduces so many different races and has a real sense of fun and imagination

the new prequels spend far too much time dealing with backstory that they forget character development, how can u introduce a character so cool as darth maul and then kill him off in such a lame way after only 5 scenes??

they also get caught up in cgi and battle scenes, half of the second and third are battle scenes altogether

it doesnt make sense that they have walkers in the first trilogy anymore, when they have vehicles that can fly in the prequel unless technology takes a real backward step under hre empire in 40 years

i am looking forward to the tv series that will expand on this and then probly a re release of teh prequels in few years time

The Episode IV must have been the best. It was the introduction and and the people noticed.
A prelude to the box office block buster sequels.
Remember there was no internet yet. not much hype, and being a teener then I liked the movie so I watched the next episodes for its artistry. and massive impact on the realism the movie presented. It became a template.a parameter for future space sci-fi.
I bought the tapes and let my kids watched it in their toddler years.
They liked it, so when the prequels came, it was my children's turn to relish the content of the saga.
Especially since they could identify the makings of the darth vader in themselves...LOL! Or the origins of the mysterious Luke skywalker.
and his twin with whom i fell in love with then.
In a sense, it enlivened the emotion and reason of two generations of children.

Most people like the original trilogy and cannot stand the prequels...and if they do like a prequel, they love Revenge of the Sith.

Me, I love every one of them except for Attack of the Clones and Return of the Jedi (II and VI).

I am a particular fan of The Empire Strikes Back. I am old enough to have seen them all at the cinema first time round and this made the most impact on me. The coming together of good and evil is so near and consistent all the way through that it chills, as opposed to shocks, at the end when Luke has his father revealed.

Star Wars, Return Of The Jedi, Empire Strikes Back. Absolute classics. And Harrison Ford was a sexy b@stard.

AND I bought all 3 on vhs the other day in Cash Generator for £1.50!

I love all the six episodes but, unlijke most of the people I like the new triology more. Because star wars is a saga and new tech. and effects heps the mood rise to an epic atmosphere. Thats what I think.
If I really have to choose a movie from all six episodes I'd say episode three

the original trilogy was way ahead of its time although a good effort was made of the prequels but they hard to do as everyone already knows the end

My sister likes Empire Strikes Back because of the romantic involvement with Han and Leia and, as for me, I like Star Wars Episode I: A New Hope because of the climatic scene and that's where the Star Wars crazed was born.

Prequels.. sequels.. I love them all...

They knew what they were doing from the start.. George Lucas is a genius... he carefully planned every single move he made... as for if you can account from the stories... when we saw the first one... everything was not as high-tech as the pre-quels.. why??? the best times before the Empire and the times of freedom have been left behind... people were living in precarious circumstances under the siege of the Emperor... so it all fits in...

It's like that was then... this is now....

I love all the films.. and I have to admit... "Revenge of the Sith" is my favorite one for the depth and the sadness that is felt in this movie... this is why everything else happened,,, the beginning of the end.. but was it???? I cried so much with this movie... I hold it in my top 5 film from all times...
