you're spot on! If he wasn't Mel Gibson nobody would've cared! Plus he was drunk and he is entitled to his opinions!

I agree with you; people don't remember that actors, celebrities, and national leaders, people whom we're inundated with through the media, are still human and make mistakes. From a Christian standpoint, none of us can develop beyond the capacity to sin, to do wrong. But we can seek forgiveness, and whether the offended party chooses to offer forgiveness or not (in deeds and words), our conscience is right. That's ultimately what will keep people like Mel Gibson going long after the Paris Hiltons and Lindsay Lohans have faded from Hollywood's and the larger viewing public's collective memory.

if a Jewish person or a black person said the same things nothing would be said. But being Mel Gibson was never liked by the Jews in the first place we have to listen to the liberals and there B.S....P.S.whe don"t we hear anything when the black leaders say anything about the Jews is it because you still need them to do your dirty work for you .

I am not surprised this happened. Mel Gibson is a known alcoholic. He needs help. Alcoholics usually get the best help when they hit 'rock bottom'. This may be his 'rock bottom'.
If God can forgive Mel Gibson, I can too. However, Mel needs to listen to God more than ever now.

It doesnt matter whether or not he is a star. In the first case, he should not have been driving drunk. Second, you know as well as I do that people say what they are really feeling when they are drunk. So what he said was what he really feels, and an apology is more than likely just words.

Finally! I believe a big problem with the U.S. is the fascination (obsession really) with Hollywood. Move on people! Who cares what they do! They are paid to entertain you, that's it! When you live your life around what popular celebrities believe you have serious problems. They all have agendas and so many people fall into the "problem of the month" trap because celebrities say it should be addressed. Start thinking for yourselves, please!

Don't try to make excuses for him just because he isn't just an ordinary guy. First of all, he should have known better being used to celebrity but more importantly, no one could or should be excused for the comments and sentiments he expressed ...drunk or not! Sign me 'EX-Gibson fan'.
