Ask Tesla.
Just joking, of course. I think this question don't have reasonable answer, because you can't answer without speculating. "What ... if ... " are not questions that should be treated seriously.

As you like anthropology then you also must have studied that we humans are the most intelligent creatures on this planet. Well, i'm sure we would find some other form of technology. Like there are lots of chemicals which glow in the dark. And if you are thinking about computers, then let me give the real definition of computers.
"Any machine which can compute" So it is not mandatory that computers have to be powered by electricity. The firts computer made by Charles Babage and Blaise Pascal had nothing to do with electricity at all, they were completely mechanical. The computers we are using would be useless though, but I believe that our scientists would naturally make one computer one day which would not require electricity. And about vehicles, well, we would naturally come up with a brand new idea.

I guess some other way to take advantage of nuclear, solar, and petroleum energy would be powering our world. Steam and geothermal processes would probably be extremely well developed. Who knows? Maybe we'd be more energy efficient and less polluting!
As for the Muslims, the Christians were no better, as they created the 'Dark Ages' of burning all books with knowledge, persecuting and killing all dissidents, including scientists.
Ben Franklin, greatest scientific mind of the Enlightenment (and discoverer of electricity) rejected Christianity and all organized religions.
It's time to consider that approach today, as the fundamentalists of all faiths are trying to drag us back to the 'Dark Ages' all over again!

The only scenario under which electricity would never have been discovered is if the world was ruled by Muslims. Their lack of interest in the arts and sciences would have stopped progress dead in its tracks. Society would look like it did in the seventh century with wandering tribes of ignorant, vicious nomads incessantly quarreling and fighting with each other. Rulers would be religious mullahs who delivered laws straight out of the Koran. Women would be treated like slaves and Christians and Jews would be killed, forced to convert, or taxed blind as dhimmis. It's the world of the Taliban, Osama bin Laden, Iran, and most of the other Islamic fundamentalist states.
Like it? It's coming to a country near you!

You need to travel; see how other people in other parts of the world live. I have been to the Caribbean 5 years straight and nothing like "roughing" it in Paradise. There were no juicers, so I had to get one of the locals to climb a coconut tree or a grapefruit tree and then squeeze it by hand. It was rough, but then again I don't like to camp either.

I think we would maybe not be as far advanced technology wise. But I think we would maybe have a more equal society. The advancements we have made have benifited society in general but have placed the wealth in fewer hands. I think you would have less of a class division because more people would have to be employed to produce finished products and thus wealth would be more evenly distributed.

Communication across the globe would have been minimal and hence transportation would not have improved this level. People will be living in isolation compared to now.
