a couple months ago my boyfriend dumped me because we fought a lot. his dumping me REALLY taught me a lesson - i have seen the light and would never be mad like that again.

my boyfriend called the other night and told me how much he missed me, how he hasnt even really been able to function. he just thinks about me over and over. BUTTTT he doesnt want to get back with me because he's scared of getting hurt by my anger again. even though he believes that i've changed (which i swear i have!) he is afraid he wont ever be happy with our past.

this is the most borderline i've gotten him so far.. we love each other dearly and could be really great together now that i have reshaped my life to be a better person. i NEED him back in my life and he needs me.

since he is on the fence.. what would YOU say to him to get him to come back to me?

Don't say a thing to make him come back to you. Just stay in touch and keep things light and breezy. Remember ... sooner or later you're going to have to be yourself with this guy and if he doesn't like who you really are than he ain't the one.

Since he is on the fence. . . start there. Start with a date at Starbucks or some other public place. . . out in the open in the daylight. Keep your dates public for a while and let him see the new you. It will take time to build up his trust level again and who can blame him? As his trust build up invite him and several other friends over for dinner and a movie. Assure him that your alone time will be minimal until he is comfortable again. Let him tell you when that is. In the meantime, take things SLOW. If a relationship is to rebuild you will need a lot of patience. Your question to yourself should be. . . can I be that patient? If you can, go for it! It can suceed.

Have you went to anger management? I had to go to anger management because of something my wife did. I got over it and everything is good. I don't regret it at all. It seems that you have showed him everything possible that you have changed. If you haven't been through AM try it. It may just be the one thing that gets him back. If he cares so much for you like he says, than he shouldn't have a problem anymore. He needs to move on just like you did and give you another chance. Hope this helps.

I would say let him live in the past. if he isn't willing to forgive and forget than he isn't worth it, just because he can't stand up for himself.

I don't really know what you guys fought about but is it possible that if it wasn't for something stupid HE did it would have happened?

find a new guy that wont make you angry and that doesn't care about the past, because the past doesn't matter. can you change something that happened yesterday?
no
you can't make it go away, but you have every bit of control over tomorrow, do with it what you will but if I were you I would leave HIM out of the picture. he isn't good for you, to make you feel so bad, and you aren't good for him..he is a wimp.

HOWEVER if you just blew up at him for no reason, it's good that you thought through it and changed, and i suggest yo don't do that in your next relationship...

That's just my opinion but it's your tomorrow, far be it from anyone to tell you who to have in it.

Wow! That's very very very similar to my situation right now! I wish i knew what to say to have my ex back to me... (and your ex back to you)

Well, if i ever find out i'll let you know, ok? Tell me if find that out...

What i'm doing is talk to him... be his friend... so that we can forget everything that made us suffer so much and trully forgive each other. In my case he is the one who was too nervous.

I think that's good... be always talking to each other as friends... funny things... talk about your day... and get close to him slowly.
