Well, this is where it comes down to appropriate "terms".
In the jewelry field, the word "simulated" means a stone that is similar to another, but not necessarily the same composition.
Example: A "CZ" or Cubic Zirconia is a simulant of a Diamond. They look similar, but both are unique stones and of different chemical composition
A "Synthetic" Stone is a stone that is the same chemical composition and has all the same characteristics, but has been cultured or "grown" in a controlled environment ( lab ).
And yes, there are Synthetic Diamonds. They are not widely available on the Jewelry market scene, but they do exist. MOstly used for industrial purpose because the process to create them is costly.
Other Diamond "Simulants" include:
1) Moisanite
2) White Sapphire
3) Clear Quartz
4) Swarovski Crystal
5) Goshenite

A simulated diamond is not a 'real' diamond. Usually they are made from either high-lead glass, or cubic zirconia, or occasionally moissanite. You can get essnetially four basic types of 'diamond': simulated (fake basically), enhanced (real, but they may be coated with a chemical to improve their radiance, luminscence, etc), synthetic (real, as in made of carbon, but artificially done so in a lab), and natural (real, usually dug out of the ground)

simulated diamond is a real diamond but have its molecular structure aligned so it goes up to a higher value. cubic zirconia is man made diamond

Yes, dear. A simulated diamond is a fake. And "Genuine Simulated Pearls" are genuine fakes also.
