I am told Cle has no trian service??! Bus is so expensive. No I refuse to hitchhike

Southwest was running $49 from Cleveland to Baltimore.
There is Amtrak in Cle too.

You can also take a train (amtrak) from Cleveland to DC then to Baltimore. The rates for the train are slightly less than by plane. (I had looked into the prices a few years ago.) Driving may be slightly less depending on how many people are going and the miles per gallon for your car.

The bus is your best bet. The only other option is to fly.
