This may be your Throttle Position Sensor (TPS). It is located on the Plenum (Air Thing Top of Engine) opposite of where the Throttle Linkage connect. It is easy to test with an Analog Multimeter. Most Parts stores and Radio Shack sell them, a cheap (Less than $15) will work fine. You may need a Repair manual to know how to test your TPS. How it works; three wires most times. Reference Voltage of 5 +/- volts and two wires out to show a change in reference volts. The TPS work like a volume control on a radio. It changes the ref. volts from 0-5 for example to tell the computer where the throttle is and the computer then supplies the amount of fuel accordingly to the fuel injectors. Hope this it, as it not expensive to replace.
