yes!! you most definitly should..because it's always great to have something you are passionate about...and believe me...once you get to love the characters, you've got something that becomes a part of your childhood. a series you love.
but....and no one seems to have mentioned this yet...
don't be put down by the first chapter of the first book...yes yes..i know, that one chapter can be kind of slow and it has put a lot of my friends off of it...but READ THROUGH IT! it gets better. believe me!! you'll be sucked in!

I'm 13 and I love the books! I think you would like them too! They're a combination of good vs. evil, magic, friendship, school, family, and a little romance later on in the series. I've been reading them alone since I was like seven or eight. I've read a lot of good books like the Lord of the Rings trilogy and lots of classics but the Harry Potter's are definitely my favorite. I have read all of the Harry Potter book's 12 times each, except for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which I've read 7 times. My mom has to make me read other books because she says I always have my head buried in a Harry Potter book and that I should read other books too! Right now, there are six books for sale. J.K. Rowling is currently writing the 7th and last book of the series! I absolutely love them and recommend them to you. I guess you've already read the names of the books a lot but here they are again.
1. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (or Philosopher's Stone)
2. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
3. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
4. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
5. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
6. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
I hope this helps you!

Personally, I love it, especially the first couple installments. The world Rowling created is really fascinating. The movies didn't do it justice. Give it a try. I think you will like it.

You would love the Harry Potter collection. I am 19 and many of my friends and I are still obsessed with this phenomenon. There are going to be 7 books, each of Harry's years at Hogwarts. The first is called "Harry Potter and the Socerer's Stone" the second is called "Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets," the third is called "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" (that one is by far my favorite), the fourth is called "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," the fifth is called "Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix," and the latest one she has written, the sixth, is called "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" (this one is also very good). I love Harry Potter and i think you will, too! It's a great series for teens and preteens, and many young readers have loved it ever since it came out!
