My method is a bit unconventional. We have black wasps that will build a small hive in the doorframe between the door and screen. I wait until the early morning hours when it is cooler and the wasps are sleeping. I prop the screen open gently so as not to disturb the wasps. Then, from inside the house, I open the door and lob a full diaper at the nest, sending it and the wasps flying into the yard and I quickly close the screen. I then coat the top of the doorframe with Vaseline to keep them from coming back to that spot again that evening (they will if it isn't treated).
You have to make sure your aim is good. If you bump them and wake them up without sending them flying, they will be rather angry. My husband prefers spraying them with store-bought hive killer while they are sleeping, but we won't use the poison in doorways the children frequent.

well, if it is bees, they might come back and rebuild, if it wasps, same ting. First you have to kill them or if you don't want to do that, stun them. Kill them with a spray that you can get at the store, and use that on them, to stun them, you take smoke, (lots of it) and blow it on the nest. This might be hard since it is inyour doorway, and the only way I can think to get that much smoke is with fire. I know they have smoke guns that they use on big beehives, but don't know where to get them, so your best bet it just to use the spray and kill them...

Knock it off and run like crazy! LOL! j/k
Actually, you might call around. If they make honey, a lot of bee keepers will come and remove them for free, provided you let them keep the bees. Just a little helpful thought! Good luck!

Wait until just about dark when they are all in the hive for the night and spray it with bee spray - then you can take it down, step on it, throw it away and done.

hairspray, or bee killer, best to do at night when they are all in and tucked for the night. Then take a bag and a stick and knock it into the bag and then set it ablaze.
