Probably you are infected with spyware or virus or worm.
Head to http://www.download.com/Security-Spyware/2001-2023_4-0.html?tag=dir
And choose antispyware and antivirus.
And scan in your computer for infection.

It is a phishing scheme virus which is sending it self out threw you computer to try and steal your contacts passwords.

1. Notify all your contacts to NOT click that link.
2. An Uninstall then a reinstall of messenger should get rid of the virus

This used to happen all the time on older versions of messengers.

It's a virus, which if you press ctrl alt del you can disable the program.

Do a search on google for any suspicious looking programs on your taskmanager list and see if any come up as a virus. If so, do a search for it in your FIND under START. Find it and get rid of it. You also may need to uninstall and re-install your messenger.

It is a virus going around. Some of them, if you click on the link you get your account hacked into.

There isn't anything you can do to stop it from going to all your friends now, just warn them it is coming and to not click on the link.
