While I am definitely not a supporter of President Bush, I would not be happy (or apathetic) about his assassination. He is still the president of our country and, no matter how much I and many others dislike that fact, he still deserves some respect. President Kennedy was no saint either. But if this actually happened, I would weep because Mr. Cheney would now be president.

I would be devastated that an American president was assasinated. It is always a horrible thing. It would be really bad for our country right now if that happened, even though I believe that Bush is not the right man for the job.

By the way, Bush is the first president since William Harrison to be elected in a year ending in 0 to not die in office or at least be shot (like Reagen). Knock on wood, people...

No,i don't think so...
Take a look at this to know how Americans are suffering because of his decisions(on a USA ally land) http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/4881474.stm
Not mentioning the number of deaths of Americans and others because of the US foreign policies.

But assassination isn't the answer...
He should be deprived of authority, sentenced to a war crimes trial for example(There is plenty of trials he can face).
In that way, other people like him will be more aware of the end of the one who chooses the wrong path.

In as much as I despise George Bush, I still wouldn't cheer his assassination.

We'd still be screwed either way...Dick Cheney'd take office if something happened to Georgey-Boy.

i dont see that happening anytime soon. Bush is not opposing anyone who has the potential to kill him.
But if he was to die today, The USA would come to a stand still. He would suddenly be spoken of as an american hero. and wall street would quickly fix another election so they can have another one of their drones in control of the country.

I would definitely be more than upset than with Kennedy. Of course all I remember about that was the pretty horse on TV.

The USA was not devestated. A bunch of people cried like little

I think people might be upset, regardless of whether or not they like him, just because if he were assassinated it would mean some uncertainty for our country and people would feel like, "Wow, if the president isn't even safe, no one is."

NOPE. Not at all.
I think Cheney would't last long either if he had to come out of his bunker into the public. He would have a heart attack.
