With the bumper stickers, the music, the flags, "USA USA USA" etc.
Do I really need to run outside and yell it out to the whole world. Can't I just know it myself and be happy with that?
Why do they try so hard and then accuse others of not being patriotic because they don't feel the need to showcase it to the rest of the world?

Taffi- It's not the display, it's the accusations that bother me. Display it all you want, but don't accuse me of not being patriotic because I don't..

I served my country and was very proud to do so What have you done other than bit*h and complain?

Gosh! Reading through some of the questions and answers given to those questions, it's plain to see that the USA has become way too polarized. Get it together people! You are shooting bullets at one another. You letting the terrorist win. We are Americans. The greatest nation on earth. Republican, Democrat, Dixiecrat or Alley Cat, it don't matter. We are all on the same side of the ramparts. United we stand. Divided we fall. God Bless the USA.

The best way to be patriotic, is to want the best for your country, and the best for your country is to be extremely critical of it. That means you set higher standards for yourself.

Even the dumbest person can be patriotic in the worst country in the world. Being patriotic unconditionally is rather a sign of stupidity than actually doing your country or your people a service.

Patriotism of the ignorant, is a crime, not a service. Most of them don't even know the difference between being patriotic and being nationalistic (precursor for fascism.. nazi's weren't bad for being socialist, but for being nationalist).

It's quite funny to see how americans who are so proud to live in a free country, with freedom of speech and self expression, to condemn, to discriminate, to even threaten those who do not share their own views. If I choose to not be patriotic, then that too should be respected. Unconditional support is EVIL.. doing evil in the name of your country is no different than doing it name of your God.. it is the unconditional part that makes it evil.

Never support anything unconditionally.. always judge if it is doing right or wrong, before you choose to support it. It'll make you and your country better. What did you expect germans to do in WOII? Expect them to be patriotic in the same way republicans expect you to be patriotic today? Patriotism surely isn't about unconditionally supporting your president, or going to war and sending off your kids to kill and be killed on command.

Besides, those republicans who wave flags and wear bumper stickers on their forehead, remind me more of a bunch of savages (like soccer hooligans) than civilized people.

A real patriot is like a real friend, he will tell you the truth about what's wrong with the country even if it's unpleasant and try to do something about it with the best intentions in mind.
That's what true patriotism really is - doing something for your country, displaying a flag doesn't mean anything.

Because when you lack something, you want to get it back.

Republicans and democrats are the worst human beings on the planet.

Conservatives and liberals = enemies

You thinks its only Republicans that love this country? Perhaps we Republicans were wrong in thinking most liberals had different ideas but still loved our country. I guess I'm the surprised one.

We don't have to prove it, we just are patriotic.

What I find interesting is that apparently the outward display of patriotism bothers you. Why so angry?

We don't have to prove it.

Meanwhile, libtards have placards that say, "wave that piece of sh!t flag..."

Why do liberals hate America?

Just like John Kerry minions... Love the enemy, hate America.

People don't define you, you define yourself.

Could is be, that in their hearts, they know, they're not, and, they wish they had what it takes, to be a real patriot???
