It should work fine. When my cousin and i were at a lake she dropped her cell in the water and later on that night she was chattin away like nothing had happened.

First you have to take it apart. I used a hairdryer on my daughters phone on low heat, and it helped it dry out faster, it worked! Sometimes it doesn't, you might have to get a new phone. Did you have insurance on the phone? I keep insurance on my phone, so that if it breaks or water damage it won't cost me alot to get a new phone you can get insurance through your carrier.

My daughter set hers on the bathroom sink where it got water. It didn't ever work properly after that...inconsistent signal strength, dropped calls.
Friend dropped hers in toilet, not once but twice. Not sure exactly what happened w/that.

sometimes they will work if you pull the battery out right away and let all the circuitry dry out before putting battery back in.
