Let's be realistic here, if Zidane had given that head-butt to Materazzi off the soccer field he could of very well ended up in jail for assault..and Materazzi could of easily have charged him!!

Zidane knows as well as many French people know what Zidane did was a crime against Materazzi and that Zidane should be punished(ie jail time). All of Zidane accomplishments are now considered WORTHLESS and he will go down in history as a loser. Bye bye Zidane don't let the door hit your worthless @ss on the way out. Materazzi did the most reasonable thing according to football
do whatever for helping ya team . in that case : you are in the UEFA WORLD CUP FINAL and there are a few minutes untill the penalty's -and Zidane is an amazing player and be sure there must be some Italian who got a heartattack after seeing earlier that astonishing shoot blocked by Buffon. (memorable.. memorable) -
and the number 1 enemy of Italy at penalty's. So football allows you to be as a jerk and a coward as you can be until the referee sees you. And the consacrated and only mean of defense for an
assaulted player on the field is to play dead , roll over in agony,
scream, or drop his *** on the grass at the very first obvious punch - if he fights back it could get worst for HIM regardless of who started it, and
if just doesn't do anything the other guy will most probably get away with it. Zidane just broke the rules.
Oh, and .. don't cry, Zidane is just fine. He got suspended for a very long time / who cares?! not him be sure...he just retired from football and will live happily ever after regardless of
how many arab haters are out there. Good for him.
I won't say any other word of evil about Materazzi. I love the Italian team to death , and those who meet them on the field should better do their homework 'cause football is a tough
game , and those guys are simply the best players ever.

Juventina, why don't we do a demo of it and see what might would have happened ? You become Materazzi and I will be Zidane. And I swear that I will headbutt you with the same amount of force that Zidane applied on Materazzi. In that way, we don't have to put up with your stupid questions anymore (hoping my headbutting will keep you out of this forum at least for a day....even that will be a big relief)

I agree with you. In real life if anyone is abusing you , you abuse them back but don't raise your hand until you are struck first.
Even if Materazzi was calling Zidane's family names, Zidane could have said the same thing back to Materazzi's family. He did not have to headbutt him.
Zidane was the captain of France, he should have known better than to react that way.
