He was not eaten by the monster, he was simply taken to work for eternity like the others were on the 'phantom' vessel, because he owed a 'debt' to Davey Jones. And I was not pissed, as fun and happy-go-lucky as he was, I felt he deserved it for all of his under-handed actions against the others who helped him.

In the third movie, he will have even more glory, since I'm pretty sure he's going to be saved. Now he's going to brag about being eaten by the Kraken, and rescued by his 'mates'. You know... live to tell...

I agree with Somebrowning...Jack kinda deserved it. The writers ruined his character in part two. Rather than him being quirky and clever they made him an @sshole that didn't care about anyone but himself. He acted cowardly and selfish...he just wasn't that funny in part two.
