Pregnancy tests are not always accurate. Better to go see your doctor.

I am a little older than you are, but I've run into this problem before. Sometimes the stress from thinking you are pregnant can freak you out enough to cause your period to be late or nonexistant- getting your period is all about a natural cycle and your body isn't going to prepare for a child when your stress levels are through the roof!

Also being 15, you haven't been getting your period for very long, and your body is still changing, therefore normal pubescent changes can cause your period to be off or irregular.

It would be a good idea, however, to go to a Planned Parenthood center and get checked for STDs- to make sure you are healthy (always a good thing!) Plus you can get birth control completely confidentially as well as condoms or the day after pill. (all of this is free, by the way, and they won't contact your parents at all.) I know this kind of thing can be embarassing and sometimes scary, but i'm sure you'd feel better knowing that you were healthy and protected.

I'm not advocating that you should be having sex, because even girls older than you aren't really ready yet, but just be safe if you choose to be sexually active.

I hope this helps!

There are many things that can make you skip your period: swimming alot, excersising, or it could just be one of those skippy months. We as teenagers are not always as regular as some people. Believe me, im active and have sex with my boyfriend and im pretty much in the same boat as you right now. I've taken tests and then they come up negative but that doesn't really mean that you're not. I would take a few more if you can just to be sure maybe go to the doctor for a checkup on your periods. Stress can cause you to miss your period too so try not to worry about it and just see what happens. You should look up some signs of pregnancy and see if you have any. That may be a good indicator but still go to the doctor to be sure. Ask them to test for other things like infections as well. Good luck and email me on what happens. hisbabe1215@yahoo.com.

Forgive me, but I can't understand why you would prefer to put yourself into a position to have to worry about such things. It just doesn't make sense...
You spend only 19 very short years as a teenager, and hopefully another 65+ years as an adult, and for the life of me I can't understand why kids today are in such a damn hurry to have sex, have kids and to grow up.
Is this fun? Is this stress and worry worth it? Really? Wouldn't it be more fun to go out with your friends, shopping, movies, hanging out talking about stuff teens talk about besides worried about being pregnant, being a parent, abortion and all the other crap that goes along with it?
Sure in the hell beats changing diapers and 2am feedings and staying home on the weekends watching all your ex-friends while your home with a fat belly, or taking care of your kid. Or having an abortion having to live with that kind of guilt the rest of your life not to mention the lack of respect of your peers. Especially the guys, heh, once they know you had an abortion, you just became the easy lay, but heh, who cares... Its fun, right...
But then again, maybe getting laid, and worrying about getting pregnant is more important at 15 than all the other things you could be doing.
Lets see, having sex the first time at what 13, would put you at about 35 or so before you are all used up. So that gives you about 22 yrs or so, then by the time you hit about 40, with multiple sex partners over the 22 yr period should just about be when you will be diagnosed with class 2 or 3 displaysia. But heh, it was worth it, right??
Honey, do you get the picture here?

Go see your doctor ASAP. If you are pregnant, make arrangements with Lutheran or Catholic social services to find a good ADOPTIVE family for your child. You are too young to be a mom. Children should not raise children.

If you are pregnant your child deserves a mature and stable mom and DAD to raise it.

You have to finish growing up yourself. Finish high school, learn a trade or get a college degree, and then and only then find a stable man, get married and lastly have children.

I hope you are not pregnant....but if you are the above advice is the best for you. Do not let anyone pressure you with any other notions.

And lastly, what the heck is a fifteen year old girl doing having sex anyway? You can live quite nicely without hopping into bed with a guy. Wait until you get married.

Best of luck.

Wait 1-2 weeks and test again. Being stressed and overly active can affect your period. To make sure your not pregnant, test again.

I think you're too young to start having sex, hence the lack of preparation. Next time, if you cant hold your urge... be smart and use contraceptives. A condom is cheap and you can get it in your local drugstore or grocery.

Ok seriously! 15 is too young to be a mother! you need to be more careful! but i know i was 3 weeks late one time! i went to the doctor and he told me it was just from stress! i had taken 3 pregnancy test 1 positive and 2 negative. i also notice that when i lose weight it throws off my period. a couple of years ago i got mono, and was really sick for about a month.... and lost like 20lbs... and my period was messed up for months! but i suggest going to the doctor.... and you might try getting on birth control! Better Safe then Sorry! Also, i know you are young and you might think your mom wont understand... but i can promise you that if you are just honest with her, she will respect you for it and for being responsible (by going to the doc and possibly getting on BC).... But you need anymore advise or you want to ask me anything feel free to email me. Cassidylsanders@hotmail.com... Good Luck and let me know how it goes

Stress can be a factor in missing a period, and is a likely cause this time, but retest in about a week if it hasn't started, and talk to you parents, or doctor. Also remember no form of BC is 100% effective, but using it will help prevent scares like this in the future.....Good luck

Yup, if the pregnancy test was negative, it is negative... if u have doubts, u can buy another test for a double check!

i guess being stressed is the reason why you're missing ur period.

Yes stress can make you miss or delay a period.

You are only 15 years old...you are NOT a grown woman so STOP having SEX!

You need to worry about getting an education not laying up with boys.

SEX causes babies, STDs and AIDS
