You evidently haven't been keeping up with the archaeologists; they have found that in the era when Moses was born, the Egyptians really did kill off the babies, that the Pharaoh at that time really did have a daughter that was childless, that there was a migration of millions of people at the time the Bible claims the Israelites left Egypt and more. You really need to keep up, dear! If you read the Bible, you will discover that the Ark of the Covenant was hidden by God because it was not supposed to be touched by anyone but those God appointed; that when His people finally fell away for good, that He removed it to a place no one would be able to find. Jesus didn't have followers, he had disciples and their bones have been discovered and are kept in sacred places by the Catholic church. Me thinks it is time to go back to school!

The Bible is all about faith, we do not require proof as you seem to. I wonder if you have ever read the New Testament? If you have you should know that Jesus, after his Resurrection from the dead, remained on earth for 40 days and then ascended into Heaven. How do you expect to find His bones ? As for the apostles, there are many cathedrals and churches throughout the world that claim to have a bone, or remains of an apostle.Would people believe/follow the 10 commandments if they suddenly turned up? Rhetorical Question!

Read Lee Strobel's "The Case for Christ" Paul Maier's "In the Fullness of Time" and checkout this website www.answersingenesis.org. That is if you really want to know how smart, scientific people can believe in the Bible's veracity. I hope you take the time to explore these things.

Archaeologists are finding stuff that is related to the Bible all of the time. I'm guessing you're not keeping up with your archaeology! It would be difficult to find Jesus' bones since he ascended into heaven . . . they're not here. Eleven of Twelve apostles received public executions and their bodies were discarded by their persecutors. Early Church history indicates that John was very concerned that he not be publicly venerated after his death and requested that his body be buried secretly. It all probably sounds real convenient to you but there are non-believer testimonies and records of these things.

I have heard many people say that they do not believe the bible as any kind of fact. They ask me why I believe any of it to be true.

I then ask them a few questions to which the answers are always the same. They are as follows:

1) Have you read and studied the bible in any way to know the contents at all, much less, any of the truth or validity therein?

2) I have been told by many that evolution is supported by science. This science is the basis for school textbooks, media coverages, and almost anywhere our society gleans any form of information. Do you know any of these "scientist" or "experts" personally? And how much of their "science" has come from they to you, firsthand?

3) Do you know your science well enough to say that events from the bible do not coincide with events of evolution, at any point in time, if one looks at them both without bias?

My point is that people relying so heavily on scientific explanations are so ready to argue with any challenging theory when they, often unknowingly, are basing their view on ideas from scientist they can't name, haven't ever met, have no idea where they came from, what expertise they have to say that something is what it is, or much of anything else about these "scientist".

One has to conclude that this sounds much like blind faith. Maybe those individuals aren't so different from creation believers after all. Just two different opinions.

I personally believe that science and creation can walk hand in hand. They can both exist and be correct if we are not always looking for the wrong side to make ours right.

Just my thoughts on the subject though. This is a good question. Good luck and happy searching.

1.-God hid the the ark in order to prevent idolatry, which has happened in so many other cultures. God wants us to worship Him, not a relic.
2.- Jesus resurrected and after some time he ascended to heaven. How do you expect to find His bones? And isn't Christianity supposed to be about your own soul, not bones?
3.- The Bible has proved itself again and again because of prophecies that were fulfilled and that will be fulfilled.

Some people need to believe that there is a greater being that guides them.
For me the idea is terrifying that I may not be in control of my own actions.

Its a personal thing eh.

Oh and you are really gonna get preached at by the bible brigade for this question.
It used to be that evangilists would tie you to a stake and burn you, at least now its more of a shouting through the letterbox thing.

"in the event that they communicate no longer in accordance to this word, that's with the aid of fact there's no easy in them." God nonetheless performs miracles, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that that's no longer His Will to heal each and every person. What could that accomplish? How could that strengthen their character? My mom is presently loss of life of a 20-year warfare with a severe style of MS. Her physique is shutting down. I even have been praying for years now that if or no longer that's in God's Will to heal her, that He could gain this. the tip of her existence is now coming near, and that i've got customary that it is not God's Will to heal her at present. yet my mom's physique is so some distance long previous, if He have been to heal her, He could ought to offer her a thoroughly new physique - make her into her youthful self lower back. yet why try this now, whilst she would be able to be resurrected lower back to existence in that very comparable youthful physique whilst Christ returns quickly besides? it may be an pointless therapeutic. I even have purely found out to believe God, no be counted what, surprisingly because i'm no longer able to be certain the destiny, and that i lack His information. enable His would be performed, no longer mine.

Maybe because they've disintegrated.....maybe they can't find the 10 commandments because they can't understand the writing they're written in. I still believe in God and the Bible, because i've been brought up that way, and yes i have questioned it a bit, but i truly believe in it all...:D
