u can check the reason by pressing ALT+CONTROL+DELETE at the same time , then u get the task manager window , select processes tab ,check CPU usage, if u get a processes having high ratio ,may be a bad s/w do this slow , u can stop the process by pressing the right click on it then select end processes tree, check ur computer again , don't stop the ideal process or explorer
in the same window u can press performance tab then u can check ur physical ram (memory) & its free memory ( available) , check from the graph the page file history, if u get it very high u have to add another ram or just expand ur pagging file from :;
right click My Computer , properties, advanced,performance , settings,advanced again,virtual memory , change,select ur system driver,change,custom size ,increas the no. ok, restart

lol first you should use disk derangement every week under start and programs and accessories and system tools and also you should delete all your cookies and cashe every week and don't know how to do that Manley so i have a Internet tool bar that can help you there and you can locate it at http://kirbyfan22.ourtoolbar.com download it and install it and then restart your computer and on your Internet explorer it will be there look around for the delete all your cashe and cookies PS:when you visit a website it gets stored in your history and cashe my tool bar can delete them for you and you should do it every week!

Any number of reasons,you may have a virus,maybe you've got too many programs running.Have you downloaded a program recently?It may be affecting your running speed.Try concentrating your files

maybe becoz your computer has lots of viruses in it. try scanning your computer n get rid of all the unwanted stuffs that u do not want as well. use the disk cleanup in your computer as well. =D

you have small memory, but save too many files. Otherwise thereare virus in your computer.

try deleting history and cookies,by going to tools--internet options,and in there under security u will find them and delete them..hope this helped

try disc defragmentation
also try erasing any unneeded software programs

try to make "Disk Defragmenter" go to "Start" then "Programs" then "Accessories" then "System Tools" then click "Disk Defragmenter"
