Give it away.
Or, check the expiry date.
For older babies --- how old?
If it won't be expired too soon, then
maybe you can keep it -- if it is not opened.

I assume you've already repurchased the correct kind for him. I'd compare the two labels carefully and see what the real difference is. If there doesn't seem to be any (or there is, but the differences are really minimal) I'd use it. Otherwise, try to give it away. I don't know who (other than a very close friend of yours) would take an opened can of formula.

Usually the older formula has different iron content in it which can be a problem for a 3 week old. Check with the doctor, but I would say donate it to a hospital or shelter.

Give it away, formulas are made different for a reason. Tiny tummys aren't quite developed at 3 weeks old, where older babies had more growing time. Good luck!

Not sure where you are from...but formula here in the US does not range in ages...all formula is for all babies from newborn to age 12 months.
Once it is open you have to use it within a time period and cannot return it to the store as you have already opened it.

Give it away. Products made by manutacturers for newborns to toddlers are set up in steps. You wouldnt want to skip step one to your newborn's diet befor you proceed to the next step. Your baby has a very tiny stomach and his/her digestive tract is not strong enough to support the heavier formula. If possible you should try breast feeding, its perfect for your baby but if not, give your baby the right stage formula.

Give it away. Open formula should be used in one month. Don't try to save it.
The stage 2 formaula is designed for kids on solids.

I would just take it back to the store and just trade it for the right stuff. No biggy I just dont know if/how it will affect the baby and I personally wouldnt want to risk anything so just be safe and get the right stuff.

I sure would check with the doctor before giving anything to your baby. If memory serves, there is a process to follow every couple of months depending on your baby's health, weight gain, etc.

This formula is not for your son. But if it has not been opened, you should be able to return it and get the kind you need.
