Click on ure gray face, press edit my info, there u will see three pics: the gray face, your 360 pic and your yahoo avatar. Chosse which 1 u want to use for Answer... If u do NOT see your 360 or avatar pic click on "Get my Yahoo Avatar now" and make an avatar or if u dont have a 360 account click on "Get my Yahoo 360 account now"
Yahoo 360 account are only for adults

First u go to your account where u check mail and compose and do stuff like that. Click on the gray smiley face. It will take u to a play that says avatar. You can have a boy or a girl. U can create what it looks like and what it wears

Go to "My Q & A", "Edit My Info".
The second box down will be called "avatar", the third option will have a link underneath it, click on it and then create your avatar, once you have finished save the changes and select "Use My Yahoo! Avatar".
Or, if you are over 18, you can click on the link below the second option and create a Yahoo! 360 account, then upload any picture you want to be there and choose that.

You can create your Avatar (drawing) of upload your Picture.
For avatars go to:
http://avatars.yahoo.com
And follow the steps to create your own avatar. Save changes.
For uploading pictures, go to:
http://360.yahoo.com
Enter yahoo 360, follow the easy and quick instructions to activate your 360 page. Next find and click on the in the upper left "my page", then on the right side you'll see something that says "edit personal photos" click on it, then you can upload up to four images (from your hard drive) and pick "set as primary" for the one you want to use as the actual picture here, click save.
Then, enter again answers.yahoo.com and go to My Q&A (top right corner on this site). Now select "Edit My Info" and and where it says 'picture' select: "Use my Yahoo! 360 Picture", then click "preview" or choose "Avatar" and then click "save"

go to http://avatar.yahoo.com or make a yahoo 360 account to put you're real pic on here after you do one of those go to you're my q&a page hit Edit My Info then hit Use My Yahoo Avatar or hit Use My Yahoo 360 Picture
if you make a yahoo avatar make sure you hit save before you close the page out

click on the gray smiling face and when it brings up ur informaton find the edit button and u can change ur picture there

GO into "my Q&A" then select "Edit my info" or sthg like that, then there choose an avatar option or a photo, then make your avatar by clicking on an option it later appears when you select the avatar option

some of the above have given some helpful comments , which i am sure you will follow, and i don't mind if you do.
many people are living in dreamworld, as most of their avatars are youthful and i suppose near perfect.... in their eyes.
being grey , still hints at a bit of mystery.
