Lol, I had a ton of work to do too. Just set limits to yourself. What I did for a really boring book was to flag sections of it, like about 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 through the book so my goal for whatever amount of days was to get to the flag and pretend getting to it was getting to the end of the book. After you reach that goal, move on to the next 'flag'. It really worked for me, so it wouldn't be like "I'll never get done with this book because it's so long!" For the book report, just do a little at a time, maybe 2 or 3 per day or something and in time, you will finish it.

What I usually like to think is that if the faster I can get something done, the more time I will have in the end, free of the burden of work that I would have to finish. No matter how much you don't want to do it, just push yourself and don't allow yourself to do something until you finish whichever portion you need to get done. Self control is the key here.

Good luck!

It would seem odd you have to do 30 book reports (did you mean 3) by the end of August. Anyway, stop fooling around the the Web and here at Yahoo and WRITE the reports. No other way to do it.

lol i feel for you. i am a big procrastinator too. i just have to froce myself to do it. like in your case, i would read for 45 min and then tell myself that ill go do something like go on the internet. and then i keep puttin that off and say oh ill do in 5 minutes. and then put it off. and then go on the computer. and then do it all over again.
and when that doesnt work. i leave it for the last moment and then do it, cause i work good under pressure. most of the time.

Pick the book you like best, then give yourself time before you go to sleep to read it, then read again in the morning when you get up, then you'll have time to read and do other stuff, and if you get into the book you will read it alot faster. :)

If you find yourself at the computer, or atching tv, your gonna have to remind yourself you need to read.Atleast 1 hr. a day.
Use sticky notes, put in the book where you need to remember something for your report.Goes quicker.
Then get to the fun.
