I need to know what exactly a class U felony is and round about how much time this kinda felony carries... All helpful answers appreciated!

Its an "unclassified felony". "Classified Felonies" carry fines and prison terms that fall within that class. If its unclassified, it all depends on what law was violated. Most unclassified felonies have the punishment spelled right out in the statute.

Every jurisdiction has it's own classification of crimes. A class U felony may be no big deal in one state and a capital offense in another yet not exist at all in a third.
