Very fundamental questions need to be searched within, because those who have genuine doubts, or have genuine answers will be hesitant to spell it out , apprehending lack of proper sense of understanding it. Others, would simply repeat quotations, which are already known over and over again !

I think you have to understand the behavior of the people in their time and cultural environment. Maybe more research in historical background first???
