I am going to study graphic design at uni this year. Can anyone tell me how much of a difference the workload is compared to when at college. I am quite a hard worker. Am just a little worried as I am not the fastest of workers, therefore a lot of work takes me a very long time.

I did something similar general art to interior architecture.
If thats anything to go by our first year was based on theory and part of that was idea generation and development so that by the time we reached year two it came very naturally and quickly so don't worry overmuch.
The support from tutors and students was also a lot more stable at uni, everyone who was there had a great passion for their subject so that also helped a great deal.
By your final year you will be expected to eat drink and sleep design but thats what the first two are all about, enjoy it, it will be the greatest time of you're life, honestly, and it is okay to party so ignore that comment just try to graduate with no regrets. GOOD LUCK

If you are a hard worker, you may be generating your own workload. Beware of that - try not to make the work harder than it needs to be. If you attend all the lectures, you'll get a feel for what you need to know to pass the exams. Remember that the exam papers are usually written and marked by the lecturers, which is significantly different from secondary education. So go to all the lectures to get a feel for what the lecturers style and interests.

Regarding your method of working, you should learn how to do rubbish work. Try doing something in 1 hour that would normally take you 1 day. It's about getting to the end within 1 hour. Initially very difficult, but eventually your rubbish work improves until it's actually quite good.

There is a large workload at uni but if you organise yourself well and get into a routine it's definately manageable.

you'll do fine! the workload is a little different than high school. just keep up with your tasks and you'll do fine. stay focused on your studies, don't party, and you'll succeed! get a study buddy also, or find a study group.

Depends totally on which uni you are going to and whether coursework or modules go towards your degree.
