In a vacuum the speed of light is exactly 299,792,458 metres per second (In metric units) one metre is the distance light travels in a vacuum in 1/299,792,458 of a second. Converted to imperial units, the speed of light is approximately 186,282.397 miles per second, or 670,616,629.384 miles per hour.
Then if one mile has = 1609.344 meters, we have a total of 160934.4 centimeters in a mile, therefore to answer your question the speed of light travels faster, however if the light has to travel perseid through glass, then is slower.
I really like this kind of questions and hope in the future you ask similar questions. A pleasure to help you out in your quest.

The question makes no scientific or math sense, more? Are therw more you ask??

Look a mile is a mile which is 1.609 Kilometeres which is 1,609 meters and each meter has 100 centimeters...

So 1 mile = 1,609 m x 100 cm = 160,900 centimeters that is one mile.

Now light travels at the speed of 299,792.458 Kilometers per second ... which also is = 299,792,458 meters per second ... or
299,792,458,000 cnetimeters per second ...

so for light to travel one mile you have:

160,900 centimeters per mile/ divided by 299,792,458,000 centimeters per second ... = 0.000000537 of a second or 5.37 millionsth of a second... LIght is fast...

I hope this is what you wanted, there are no less or more anything in one mile, one mile is one mile and conervts to metric to 1.609 Kms) Light speed is also fixed so no more or less anything...

enjoy

centimeters, because centimeters is the smaller unit of measurement. It takes more centimeters to make a mile, so you have to multiply that by the number of miles light travels.

Light travels approximately 186,282 miles per second.

There are 5280*12*2.54 = 160,934.4 centimeters in a mile.

Thus, more miles.

well it's close but the light-second wins.

light travels 186,282 miles in one second

and there are 160,934 centimeters in a mile

lets see... one inch equals 2.54 centimeters, 12x5280 inches in a mile, so 2.54x12x5280= 160934.4 centimeters

light travels approximately 3.0x10^8 m/s a second, which is approximatley 186,000 miles per second

So, there are more miles traveled in lighspeed than centimeters in a mile.
