I really have no one to ask this question, or I would...believe me. I have never waxed my legs, bikini line, etc. I have considered it just recently as an option but know nothing about it. Do you have to go to a salon to do it, do they sell kits at WalMart or beauty stores? How much pain is involved? How long does it last? Is it expensive? Any help is greatly appreciated!! Man, I love this site!! :)

I've only waxed my legs before.

I used the wax strips you can buy from pharmacies. I also went to salons to have them professionally done before too.

The salons do a better job. The hair stays away longer. About 2 to 3 weeks and grows back as a fine fuzz that i could ignore for about another 2 more weeks. So in total, I have to go about once a month.

Whereas the home do it yourself wax strips usually lasts 1 to 2 weeks at most.

It is troublesome and messy. I somehow manage to get the wax all over the floor and me.

You can go to a salon and have it done or you can buy a kit to do it at home for $10-$40

You will get used to it. Your first time is a little hard, especially since you haven't expirienced someone ripping hair off your skin. Go to a professional. I wouldn't do it by your self.
