More than likely he would have been opposed by them since he preferred to interact with people who needed god rather than withdraw from all contact with them. The essenes felt that rather than try to influence society for the better they should simply withdraw to the life of a hermit.

I'm sorry, you will need to clarify this question more before I can give you an honest answer; what do you mean that Christ was opposed only by Jewish high priests? What is the essenes of qumran? If you could please answer these questions for me, then I can give you a better answer.

I have no idea what "essenes of qumran" is, but if you would read the Bible, you would also find that the Roman empire was opposed to him too.

Since the Essenes aren't mentioned in the New Testament or Suetonius', Tacitus', and Josephus' scraps about Jesus' trial, we can't be certain of their opposition or support of Him. The best evidence we have suggests John the Baptist, Jesus' cousin, was an Essene (from the description of his hairy coat and locust and honey diet), it's at best likely that because Jesus advocated personal interaction with those who needed to know God rather than withdrawal from society, they were divided. Certainly not enough to advocate a death sentence!

Just what exactly is the "essenes of qumran?

People make up the silliest things, to put down the Christian concept that JESUS CHRIST intiated...

If you dont want to believe in JESUS CHRIST as your Savior, then its your business...
The rest of us want Salvation...
And have accepted JESUS CHRIST as our Saviour...

I wish you well..
