I wonder why the ones that feel that it is all about oil haven't started living a lower standard of living? They are a bit of a Hippocrates. I do realize that they say it is the conservative that are Hippocrates.

Don't worry about the oil, by 2050 the world will have the economy of 1850 unless the economics of Renewable Energy changes. The American government doesn't have the assets to foot the bill for the infrastructure for Renewable Energy. Just wait till the energy crisis collides with the baby-boomers retirement bill.

We need to take a look at the big picture. Osama and al-Qaeda are real. But why were we attacked? And why other nations spared? Because the US has been sticking its nose into the affairs of the Middle East for decades and they're tired of it. You don't smack a beehive around for that long and expect not to get stung real bad!

Not at all. I think this is sort of a silly speculation. There is alot going on in the world right now that is very terrifying: Iraq, Israel-Lebanon, Afganistan. Turmoil doesn't even begin to describe what we've got on our hands. To place blame on Bush is giving him too much credit, and for all his stupidity, I think he wouldn't wish that much terror on anyone.
