it is not always the case.
Sometimes your true love came too early on and you have to move to a different college...
Sometimes your parents arrange marriage so you miss marrying your true love....
Sometimes your true love has similar restrictions and you have to suffer.
But if you go to the same college or meet your true love in college and parents of both sides agree and both of you are not distracted by others you can succeed in choosing your true love as your life partner and marry him/her.
Wish everybody could marry their true love...
But sometimes we are very stubborn and fall in love with somebody that we know very well that it will be impossible to marry them ... still we are all slaves of our hearts.

Because you have not met him yet! Have you ever heard of the saying if you love him enough to let him go, and if it meant to be he'll be back again. My dad and I are spiritual people, and he suggested that I pray for my husband and I did. He came when I least expected it, but it happened. I feel he is my soul mate. Because I have accepted him with all his faults and imperfections. As well as him accepting me for me. True love is something you build on. He or she may have all the qualities that you may be looking for, but do not expect a person to be perfect. If you are looking for that perfect person that will be impossible to find. If you are spiritual pray for him, and leave it in God's hands. He will deliver! True story out of all the guys I have dated when I saw my husband I knew he was the one, and I had said that prayer like a year before. We were together three months and he proposed to me and I accepted. We have been together every since. It's been 7 years now. And he is my best friend, my lover, and the father of my kids. I couldn't have asked for anything more. Last when and if you do say that prayer ask God specifically to send you the type of man you want. Make sure you do not leave out any details, and he will answer your prayer when he thinks the time is right. Good Luck!

There is no such thing as a "true love" or soulmates. Only people we are highly compatable with. Just my beliefs. I think its also easy to dwell on "the one that got away". Do you really think everything would be perfect with that person? Hardly.

Sounds to me like he's already taken. Get over it and find someone who is available.
