Okay, if you saw the halloween party then you saw the guy dressed up as Frank. The "hideous" rabbit.
Donnie's girlfriend gets hit by a car and dies and then Donnie kills some people. Then the ending comes. Which is the airplane thingie falling into thier house. You see everyone outside but Donnie. That's because he dies in the house.
Then his girlfriend is riding a bike and asks someone what happend. A little boy says "someone died in that house, Donnie Darko" and the girl doens't know who he is.
I don't relly understand it, but I know it has something to do with time travel.
There ya go! I have successfully ruined one of the best movies in the world for you!

The world ends in a manner of speaking, it's really something that you need to rent the movie and watch the whole thing to get it completely. Even then, I watched it a couple of times before I really got it. It's definitely worth watching for yourself. Don't just listen to somebody else's description of it. It would probably lose something in translation anyway.
