LARA IS NOT COMFORTABLE AGAINST GOOD SPIN ATTACK.

yes...there casn b arguements over gilly n dhoni.but its 2 early for dhoni 2 b categorized with a class player like gilly..dhoni is good..but gilly is even beter...gilly has proven himself over a period of time....whil dhoni is jus a start...taking nothing away from dhoni...hes a very nice player...bit immature though!! but 4 cricket's sake.DO NOT compare LARA with these two!!

I think people are overating dhoni. so far he's played games on wickets of sub-continent or alike( read W.I.) he still has to prove himself on swinging wick. like england, new zaeland or bouncy track of south africa , australia. as far as lara I think he's on decline but still better than most avg. batsmen .Gilli has added a new dimension to cricket whether tests or o.d.i. he's introduced the concept of attacking w.k. ( read kaluwithrana succede for a short time ) so i would say at this point no. 1 is gilli no.2 is lara & no. 3 is dhoni among them

dhoni is a good player in odi cricket since his technical frailities are not exposed so much.but lara and gilchrist are proven players with fantastic track records.of the two, lara is probably the greater batsman.so my vote is lara followed by gilchrist and then dhoni.hopefully the order will change in few years with improvement of dhoni.

Dhoni is merely a pinch hitter while Lara and Gilchrist are two most classy players.

Lara is the original batting great
Gilchrist is the original when it comes to attacking batting
Dhoni is taking Gilchrist's attacking style to another level

dhoni...is an attacking player..but not matured..he's the new brat in the cricketing world...brian charles lara..is the most finest..player..& matured.. but my gilly boy is a power pack combination of(sachin+lara) ...he can attack as well as plan his innings.. i vote for adam gilcrist
