I have worked in retail for 25 years and tv's used to have wood effect cabinets then black then silver then briefly some had wood effect again,now a lot are silver but Samsung seem to be starting to bring black back into vogue,so already the black is coming back again !

I was thinking the same actually. We currently have a black little TV in our living room because our other big silver one decided to lock itself and we couldn't change the channels or anything on it. We have ordered a HD 42 inch Flat screen TV which should be arriving soon. That like our previous is also silver. I think silver to quite a majority of people represents a look of cleanliness or even quality. I prefer black myself but I want a TV that has that of a clear/see through or glass frame - I think that would be different to the traditional black or silver TVs.

Hopefully, they will become so thin that we don't have to worry about the color. All TVs are ugly and it looks awful in any room, to have the focal point of the decor be a large silver or black electronic piece of equipment.

soon i think there will be tv's in all kinds of colours and patterns. people like variety and companies know it!
silver tv's are probably here to stay!!

black is old school.. silver will stay for a long time... my lcd has a surround you can paint/wallpaper to match the wall it is hanging on..
