Most of them, because they appeal to either just basic sex, violence, or absurdity, or they are propaganda from vested interests like advertisements, biased news reports, or political press releases. There are a few programs that come on during the week that are truly informative or positively creative, which makes it worth it to have a tv with potential to receive these programs, but I hardly watch tv any more. I'm on the computer more often, doing interactive things like this. hehehe or googling stuff, or playing a yahoo game, or watching streaming video. I like doing something intereactive better than just sitting and staring at some soap opera or sit-com, or violent 'cop' show.

A better question might be, "Is there any show on TV that you feel is so good it actually doesn't insult you intelligence?" TV is specifically targeted toward a ten-year-old mind, even the drivel that 40-year-olds watch.

Although I have never actually watched the show, the ads for 'Fear Factor' indicate that it would be an insult to the intelligence of an insect.

Yes!I feel that Lost is one of those shows.Really how long does it take for those people to be rescued from that Island. It reminds me of what happened to the cast of Gilligan's Island.I tried to keep up with the show on it's first season but by the second one I was lost and confused.I do not watch it now and could care less if they get saved or not.

Most reality shows. I LOVE Last Comic Standing, but am insulted that they think I need to see them all in a house together. I'd rather watch a standup comedy competition.

There are many, but I can change the channel. Flavor of Love on VH-1 takes the cake. I cannot believe this garbage is like a phenomenon. The gutter cellar of the pimp's strip club revealed!

Jerry Springer, Maury Povich, Elimidate, Blind Date, Taxi Cab Confessions...I can go on and on for this one! The people on these shows make me feel ashamed of the human race. I never needed to know that people can be so low, so classless, so completely brainless and without morals or standards of any kind. I hope most of them are acting...but I know some of them aren't, they are just the dregs of humanity.

I don't watch much tv, but I have caught some of The War At Home and thought it was awful.
