You learn about the history of the bank you are working at, their policies, and how they do things. They teach you special tricks on fraudulent money, checks, credit cards, and IDs. You learn how to count money faster, how to process checks, money orders, bonds and all of that. Then they teach you on what to do if you get robbed. And some of those things are actually things you aren't allowed to tell other people. It takes a while, and I now for me training was like a month.

As someone who worked in banking for many years, I can tell you that Teller training consists mainly of learning how to process a variety of transactions. You'll learn how the system works, how to handle things like deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, etc. Plus you'll learn about the bank's products and services and how to answer a variety of customer questions.
Some banks do the training at a central location like the corporate office for example, while others do it right in the branch itself. And many banks have the trainee shadowing an actual Teller, watching how transactions are entered and sometimes actually doing it under that person's supervision.

you will go under induction wherein u'll be told about history of the bank and current management, then about different funcitons of the bank. As a teller u must know about different products the bank offers and thus u'll be given short training on that. Teller's job is of accepting cash and paying cash to customers, also to maintain cash balance according to bank rules. Also to keep update on ATM balance. U'll be trained about how to go about these things, then how to react to crisis situations like low on cash, robbery, fake notes etc. Most important u will be trained on Govt. guideline on banking if u r in India RBI guideline
