The BMI index that other people have suggested doesn't take into account muscle mass or bone density. It's a tool designed by insurance companies to determine how much money to charge people for life insurance.
You know if you're at a healthy weight if you feel good, if you have energy to exercise, and if you're eating healthy foods.
You can get a body fat percentage test done at good gyms - they should have someone trained to tell you how much. For women, anywhere between 18 and 25% is healthy. That, and a lean muscle mass test is the absolute best way to tell.
Most doctors are only going to use the BMI chart. Like I said, it's an insurance company thing, not a test of real health.

Goto yahoo's BMI calculator. You put in your height, age, and weight, and it tells you your BMI (body mass index). It has a chart showing the ranges that you should be in for overweight, normal, underweight, and obese. Ok? Good luck.
