Keep in mind that Sharon was a lunatic old fart who would have been the poster boy for Nazi beliefs on semitism. We could cut our aid to Israel and let them stew in their own messes they keep brewing.

I think a good way to answer this is with respect to a few aspects of ruling the world:
Ideologically: US corporations, no question. Walk down any street in Europe, it's like Coca Cola bought the entire alleyway with all of the posters and such. It is hard to find anything in the public sphere anymore in the US. We have the post office (which is pretty much like any corporation) and that is about it from the consumer aspect. We HAVE to buy from corporations to live, it's a fact of life now that disturbs me.

In criticism to this answer, I ask the critic: If your hard work only makes another person rich without any effort on their part, is that capitalism? No, it is called slavery. Nevermind that you are being paid, you are doing somebody else's work and they are the ones making money off of it, not you.

Militarily: The United States. China may have a more populated army, but our country has 50% of the world expenditure on military spending and we only have 5% of the world's population. Doesn't that seem a bit scary? Our 5% could literally take over any nation on Earth with our high-tech toys. We could even hire some of the US corporations above to do it for us. We've hired mercenaries to overthrow countries before.

Culturally: I am not sure on this one. There is no clearly defined winner here. You could argue the Catholic church, but culture goes much deeper than religion. I'm not going to declare a winner here, because no modern institution has homoginized a majority of the world population into a single culture. This is good! I am glad you can still go to another country and they don't all walk around eating Big Macs with a Walmart shopping bag in their hand.

Economically: China will have this covered in no time. Their economy grows 10-*******-per-cent every year. That is way more than we have ever experienced. China will litterally be the wealthiest country in the world by 2050 if things keep going the way they do. Is that bad? Yes, for us. We have our huge military and ideologically unstable presidents. We will be the next North Korea.

All I know is I am moving to Central Europe to enjoy my life. This **** sucks.
