Man it gets on my nerves when people get on here and rather than answer the question at hand they correct the posters grammar. I ask questions cause I want answers not an english lesson. I realize good grammar is important but if I can get my point across whats the difference? Any one agree?

Don't get me wrong i agree good grammar is important and I try to take the time and do my best. I just saw something else that makes me angry I answered a question, maybe my answer wasn't worth ten points, but the one who won didn't even answer the question it was some random statement that I would say barely related to the question.

No, I don't agree with you. However, if English is not your first language, then I'm willing to cut you some slack.
But too many people on Yahoo have other agendas or misrepresent themselves. A reasonably proper use of grammar and English helps the answerers judge whether the person asking the question is legitimate, whether they are a mature inquirer, or just some kid (or "troll") who gets his jollies by getting people upset.
Also, I have seen way too often people who's questions are so poorly worded that you really don't know for sure what is being asked. That is both annoying and rude to people who are trying to help.
You don't have to be an English professor, but if you make an effort to be coherent in your questions, you say a lot about yourself...and you'll get better answers.

It's annoying sometimes when people are just too lazy to use correct grammar or spelling. When the mistakes are so bad that the question loses its meaning, people tend to jump on that rather than answer the question. But little mistakes will go unnoticed, and the question will be answered most of the time.

Yes, I agree with you, some people can be really pedantic about the smallest spelling mistakes, and ignore the question just to point this out.
I would however say, that some people on here are just damn lazy, and don't even bother to see if their question is readable. If you expect people to take the time to answer your question, the least you can do is take the time to ask it properly... it's not that hard, there is a spell checker.

I agree, completely!
Although, good grammar does help a lot when you want to present a point clearly ; )

NO!!! I think it's only right that to be able to get a correct answer you need to ask the right question. Otherwise it's like answering correctly to the wrong question, so that makes both of us idiots. As for me you're not thinking too deeply. don't worry, i've checked my answer for any grammatical error. HAHAHA!!!

Not really anger, but aggravated. Some people just like to be cute, for some reason or another. It's not to get the 10 points, that's for sure. If it is, they are going about it in the wrong way. :)

I agree...don't pay those dumbass grammar people any attention and if you feel the need report them for not giving a answer to your question.

If the question is still understandable, no problem, but when the spelling /grammer is so bad that you need a Little Orphan Annie decoder ring? I just don't bother!

I correct grammar, but only if the question is so freakin' nonsensical that I want to cry on Teusdays.
