I would use a paragraph describing an actual child or teenager exepriencing boredom. I think there is a funny scene in the 1980's movie "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" where the teacher with a definite monotone just drones on in class, asking question after question without receiving an answer, but he persists in hoping someone will answer by saying, "Anyone? Anyone?" You could even use that scene yourself. The entire class is sitting, glassy-eyed, and if I remember right there is even a student who has fallen asleep in his textbook, drooling. Or you could describe a personal experience where you or someone you know was describing how bored they were (not necessarily in school). I believe the reason children and teenagers get bored more easily than adults is because they are usually more right-brained and creative and need more hands-on activities.
