you have to wait til you are five 5 prior to your period for some of the pregnancy tests others have you wait a couple more days. Your best luck is to use your first morning pee which will have the highest HCG level .Best of Luck

It shouldn't take no time at all if you suspect that you are pregnant then you should take a test right away, but since you are talking weeks then some women can know that they are pregnant about 2-8 weeks after conception depending on whether or not they experience any of the early pregnancy symptoms.

It really won't matter. If you think you have any signs of pregnancy or for some reason you think that you could be, then you should definantly take a test. You could wait until you miss your period but i don't think that's very reliable because there are plenty of people that don't even miss a period and then they find out that they are pregnant. My mom did and i think that i might be also but i haven't missed a period yet... Goodluck and be sure to take a test in the morning!!

Two weeks.
Assuming you have the usual cycle of 28 days and ovulate on day 14. Most over the counter urine pregnancy tests start detecting pregnancies at 2 weeks. If your period doesn't start after another week, try another pregnancy test. Sometimes, the urine isn't concentrated enough.
You'll know earlier if you go to your doctor for a blood test. I forget exactly how early though. Probably in one week.

Some poor unfortunates don't know they are pregnant until they get tummy pains and a baby pops out!
Some sensitive souls "know" they are pregnant a few days after doing the deed. They just feel it somehow.
Most girls find out when they are late for their period, go "oh crap" (or "oh YES!") and get a pregnancy test.

I BELIEVE A WOMEN KNOWS HER BODY AND IS USUALLY RIGHT IF SHE THINKS IT.
BUT I WOULD SAY AS SOON AS YOU MISS A PERIOD AND THAT COULD BE DAYS OR WEEKS INTO THE PREGNANCY IT'S ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA TO KEEP TRACK OF THE DAYS YOU HAVE UNPROTECTED SEX THAT WILL HELP YOU NO WHAT DAY U MAY HAVE GOTTEN PREGNANT AND FIGURE OUT HOW FAR ALONG YOU ARE. GOOD LUCK WITH THAT!

You should be able to tell with a store-bought Pregnancy Test at about 2 weeks after your period (or when you should have gotten your period, if you skipped it).

EPT first response says it can test as early as 4 weeks. 4 days before your next period comes.
