Video Modifying Program?

yeah well, I need to modify a video that i've made. when I say MODIFY, I mean adding music, and deleting some parts. what can be the best program that is, either, free or not so expensive?

Windows and apple both come bundled with video editing software. In windows, it's called "Windows Movie Maker" (sorry, but I've forgotten what it's called in OSX). If you're going to buy video editing software, please STAY AWAY from pinnacle software, it's incredibly buggy and crashes constantly.
