Does it hurt when you get your ears pierced? Is it a pain having to take care of it? And, can you go into a pool after having them pierced? Thanx

yes it hurts, you have to be diligent in taking care of them or it is possible to get an infection. i wouldn't go swimming for at least 2 weeks after

yeah....for like a minute when they make the hole, but its really fast. It is a pain to take care of it the first few weeks, you have to clean it EVERY SINGLE DAY so that you wont get an infection....and you have to wear earrings of course from then on all the time or else ur holes will close. Going to the pool after- ummmm well you dont want to loose one of ur earrings in the pool, and the chlorine might burn ur soft and vulnerable ears cuz they have just been pierced- i dunno, i think actually it might be good because it will clean ur ears....ask the people who pierce ur ears.....but of course u can swim after that as much as you want lol pierced ears has nothing to do with being able to go into the pool....just make sure u have ur earrings on before and after you go in or leave the pool. U dont wana loose a nice pair of diamonds in a pool now do ya....
Youll be fine.
good luck!

When I got my ears pierced I did cry a little but I think it depends on the person getting it done and the business thats doing it, If you take good care of them then they wont get infected as easily and you get used to the routine of cleaning and all that.....and yes I think you can go in a pool, but check with the person that pierces them first.

I can't really remember as my parents got me have pierced ears when I was about six. I remember crying, but it started even before the nice dude started the piercing!

I think it might not hurt a lot and I advice you not to go swimming a while after the piercings. You don't wanna get it infected!

It doesn't hurt more than a shot in the arm, if less so. Depending on the method they use when doing it, and the experience of the tech.

My boys got one ear pierced and they didn't even twitch. The pop of the gun was louder than the actual piercing.

Taking care of them is easy, like taking a shower daily. Using the solution they give you, keep them clean. Trun them often, so they don't stick to the healing skin.

i got mine in second grade and all u feel is a pinch if u take ur nails and pinch ur skin hard thats how it feels like but it only lasts like 3 seconds i didnt cry i actually laughed cuz i thought it was gonna b much worst.
u can go in the pool but i wud try to avoid it for a while because depending on ur skin type the water might irritate your newely pierced hole.
its not that much of a bother taking care of it.
you just need to put alcholol on it 2 or 3 times a day and just move the earing around a bit but DONT TAKE IT OUT!!!!

depending on your skin type it might take anywhere from 3 weeks to 2 months for your hole to heal if u take it out too early and its not healed it will hurt and it might bleed a little. if that does happen then just put alcholol on it and wait a little longer to take it out
and on some skin types wearing fake earings can irritate your skin. so in the beggining i would recomend wearing real earrings then if u want u can swicth to fake.
if the fake earrings do irrate you then put alcholol and dont put anything in your ear for about a day or 2 or until the irratation goes away then u can put in your real earrings and avoid fake ones
hmmm...well thats pretty much it

hoped i helped!!

it feels like getting a shot in your ear that is what it is :P
it hurts for a few seconds and then it is over :)
if you get a hole at the top of your ear it does hurt a little more but it goes away quick

i have four holes in each ear and have a big pool that i use all the time i do not think it is a problem :P

It does hurt but not so bad. Your ears will feel kinda hot and numb more than painful. Its not so bad to take care of. Once they heal up they should be fine forever.
ps- piercing cartilage hurts much more. I got my tragus pierced and that hurt more than any of the others, but its my favorite earring and i never want to take it out!:)

I have never gotten anything pierced, because everyone these days are trying to be diffrent by getting more piercings, but in the end they all just blend in together. I am not against ear or bellybutton piercings, but ones on the facial area just looks gross.

it hurts for only a little bit and it isn't that hard to take care of cause you only put some stuff on you earrings for 6 months and you have to leave them in for 6 to 8 weeks and yes, you can swim with them, but if you do it that week or day you get them peirced then it may hurt or sting! but earrings are awesome and i have had them for 5 almost 6 years now!♥
