I moved into an apartment 2 months ago and the carpet is terrible. It's brand new and sheds so bad. It clogs my vacuum, gets in my hair, flies all over the place. Is it cheap or does it just have to be vacuumed 5 times a day?!

New carpet does that. Cheap carpets are worse than expensive ones, but ALL carpeting does that.

Vacuum regularly, once a day should do. It may take several months for it to clear up.

The Carpet Shed

It can be a combination of both things you suggest. NEW sheds, as might CHEAP when vacuumed. I'll assume in this case,,,and as a former landlord, that NEW and CHEAP are synonomous.

You might try not vacuuming so often? You might accept the above suggestions? You might question the landlord?

Without knowing other circumstances or trying to offend, I suggest my suggestion is probably accurate, NEW and Cheap, and you may have to live with it depending on any lease agreements.
